Local Weather: T-storms increase a bit this weekend

The heat builds to near record levels in 5 days

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. —

Weather Headlines:

WEEKEND: A bit higher risk of storms this weekend, but keep those outdoor plans. Watch for building cumulus and listen for any claps of thunder by the afternoon hours. On Saturday the higher chance of rainfall will be in South East Georgia.  Jacksonville may see a sunset downpour on Saturday, but rain will be fading as it heads into town from the west.

Sunday will bring in the chance of rainfall through the afternoon again but will remain isolated with increasing sea breeze in the afternoon.

NEXT WEEK: Heat and humidity will be increasing in a big way. Highs are expected to boost into the lower 90s!
